Practicing criminal, penal and disciplinary law for more than 40 years, Mr. Massicotte has built a reputation as an experienced litigator before all courts in the province, both at first instance and on appeal. The Quebec Bar recently awarded him the distinction of Emeritus Lawyer (Ad.E).

Having invested for more than 20 years in the defense of companies and individuals accused in the field of economic offenses, Me Massicotte has made his mark in areas as specialized as criminal taxation, fraud, law of competition as well as accusations of breach of trust and corruption, an area currently in full bloom.

Another of his clients linked to a UPAC investigation recently had charges withdrawn even before the preliminary investigation. He also represented companies in the gasoline and ventilation cartel cases. He also played an important role in the Gomery Commission and the Charbonneau Commission.

Me Massicotte also sees to the representation of his clients before professional orders such as the Order of Engineers of Quebec or before organizations such as the Office of the Director General of Elections of Quebec (DGEQ) or the Financial Markets Authority (AMF).

Although specialized in economic crimes, he has not renounced practice in other areas of criminal and disciplinary law, his curiosity and his desire to serve a very varied clientele allowing him to do so.

Me Massicotte is very socially involved in charitable organizations. Since 1995, he has been asked to participate as a tutor in the Interrogation and Advocacy Techniques Seminar, provided by the Quebec Bar.
